ABOUT BISHOP'S STORTFORD MEANS BUSINESS (BSMB)
BSMB was first held in 2001 and is the biggest business event in the Bishop’s Stortford calendar. It was founded to provide an opportunity for businesses large and small to present their goods and services to the people and other businesses in the area. Buying locally is an excellent way to help the prosperity of the area to the benefit of us all.
Generous sponsorship from MAG London Stansted Airport means that the cost of participation is as low as possible, making it affordable for even small businesses to participate.
“I wouldn’t miss it – I get to see a lot of my loyal customers in a single day, but I always meet a lot of potential new customers as well."
Vivienne Vaerliss of Associated Beverages, who has attended every BSMB since it started.
Attracting 350+ participants every year, BSMB is free to attend as a visitor and is open to all, whether you are considering setting up a business, are new to the area, contemplating the next step in your career or looking for a new supplier.
If you are interested in joining the show as an exhibitor please email exhibition@bsmb.co.uk.
The event will be taking place on Wednesday 18 October 2023 at South Mill Arts. The doors open at 10am. There is no charge for visitors to attend and the exhibitors will be on hand to explain what they can offer.

Meet the Organisers
Organised by Marketing Kinetics, a Stortford-based marketing, design and event specialist, BSMB has been championing trade and commerce in the town for almost two decades. The ethos of the show has remained unchanged since it was launched in 2001; that is to support a strong local economy by encouraging both consumers and businesses in the area to buy from and use local firms, as well as giving local business people the chance to reach out and promote their brand and what they have to offer.
Meet the 2022 Sponsor
Prior to the pandemic, London Stansted was the third largest in London, and 4th busiest in the UK, serving 28 million passengers a year. It was also in the top 25 busiest airports in Europe in 2018.
Firmly positioned as a market leader for short-haul travel across Europe, with 200 destinations across 40 countries, London Stansted served more scheduled connections to Europe than any other airport in the world apart from Munich. Passengers could also access Emirates’ global network of over 150 destinations via daily direct flights to the airline’s Dubai hub.
More than 50% of passengers travel to and from Stansted by rail, coach and bus, making it the best-performing airport in UK and one of the best in Europe for public transport use.
